The (NOT SO) green fashion facts

There is not yet such a thing as a 100% eco friendly clothing, considering that for the process of making clothes it consumes a lot of water and energy. The fashion industry is the second largest user of water in the world! Did you know that they use, to produce cotton for just one t-shirt, up to 150 grams of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals?

Although were not there yet with a 100% eco friendly way to make clothes that doesn't mean we'll not get there! According to the may 2007 Vogue it was a multiple seasons trend...and here we are today were it has proven itself that it's there to stay. Every day new ways are invented to turn the process of making clothes more green and in the meantime it's up to us to take more interest in the subject. 

Cause we can be green in many ways and still be our fashionable self, like for example buying vintage, clothing swapping parties and reinventing our already existing wardrobe. And very important: to buy from companies that sell eco clothing, cause not only we' ll be helping our environment, we also would be buying an item that lasts longer than just one season...
